Re-sharing a story from a youth group.

For me, the Hifdh voyage was an incredible experience. I took this voyage on my own in my twenties. There was no institute to attend and no teacher to guide this journey. I performed it independently, alongside my schooling, employment, and household obligations.

The journey lasted over five years. Let us try some simple math: If you do 30 juzz in five years, you will do six juzz yearly. That means one juzz in two months. That means one page in three days. Or five lines per day! You can become a hafidh in five years with just five lines per day. It is that simple! As you continue on your road, Allah makes memorizing the Quran and revision effortless.

Imagine if you had begun five years ago; you would be a hafidh now. Consider it the opposite way: if you started today, you would be a hafidh in five years, inshallah.

However, do you know what the most complex element of this journey is? Consistency. That is the main element. Some of you may be encouraged to begin today, but you will stop after a week, month, or two. Only those who continue can triumph. Slow and steady wins the race.
